2026 Entry Requirements

A $5.00 fee is required for each quilt entered in the show

  • All quilts must be constructed of three layers of fabric and contain hand or machine quilting. While quilting done for hire is permissible, commercially produced quilted Items do not qualify.
  • Any quilted item that has not been entered in a previous Threads of History Quilt Show is eligible. Quilts from other shows are acceptable.
  • An identification label which includes the entrant’s name, address, telephone number, and the name of the quilt must be sewn onto the back of every quilt entered in the show. Bags/totes must have an identification label which includes the entrant’s name, address, and telephone number. To label these items, baste a muslin label or tape the information to the bag, which can be easily removed.
  • A 4″ sleeve must be sewn to the back of the quilt. If your quilt is more than 90″ long, place the top edge of the sleeve 90″ from the bottom of the quilt. Entries without a sleeve will NOT be accepted. (See instructions below for making the sleeve.)
  • All quilts must be clean, free of smoke, pet hair, or odours. Soiled or quilts with odours will not be eligible for display or judging.
  • The ToHQS committee reserves the right to reject any unqualified or misrepresented quilt show entry. All decisions of the ToHQS committee and judges are final.
  • Quilts that do not meet the requirements listed will not be judged or exhibited. Entrants will be notified of disqualification as soon as possible.
  • All entries for the 2026 Threads of History Quilt Show will be judged as “People’s Choice” from those in attendance during the show. Only one (1) voting sheet will be accepted per person per day.
  • Quilt show entries may be offered for sale but must remain on display until the end of the three-day show. All transactions are the responsibility of the individual owners.
  • All quilts will be handled with the greatest of care; however, Threads of History Quilt Show will not be responsible for damages of any kind. NOTE: your quilt show entry may be covered under your homeowner’s insurance policy.
  • Please use 1 form per quilt registered.
  • Quilt entries can be paid via credit card using the OJHS (Oregon Jerusalem Historical Society) or by check payable to OJHS Quilt Show and mailed to:

Quilt Sleeve Instructions

Cut a piece of fabric 8.5” wide and equal in length to the width of your quilt. Make a 1-inch hem on the two short edges of the fabric strip. With wrong sides together, sew along the long edges of the strip using a ¼” seam allowance. Turn the sleeve right side out and press. Slip stitch both top and bottom edges to the top of your quilt back, leaving the ends open so that a rod may be inserted into the sleeve to hang the quilt for display. For quilts longer than 90″, please make sure that the top edge of the sleeve is sewn 90″ from the bottom of the quilt.
